You've discovered the home of one of Indiana's finest youth select clubs under the direction of the Bandits Youth Foundation, Inc. Bandits Baseball - and Lady Bandits Softball - is in its 15th year of providing training for players ages 8 to 18. Bandits teams are not about winning at all cost, but rather seeing the "big picture" of a player's career. The Bandits stress fundamentals, knowledge and playing the game the right way. We're here to assist the player with achieving their goals, whether it be playing high school baseball or softball; college baseball or softball, or possibly beyond. The Bandits' program has produced scores of talented high school players and almost as many college players in the past 15 years. Feel free to browse our site and contact us if you should have any questions.

On January 21st and 22nd, 2012, Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne University, a Division I school, will be conducting a Pitching / Catching / Hitting / Fielding camp at the Bandit Yard from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. See the above posted Information and Registration flyer. Bandit members receive a registration discount. Non-Bandit members are also welcome to attend. This is a great opportunity to work with area college coaches as well as get instruction. Bandit and non-Bandit coaches are welcome to attend for free and ask questions - it's encouraged by Coach Birely. Information on IPFW and their baseball program will be on hand. Please pass along the opportunity to any player who wants to get to their next level or see what it takes to get to the Division I college level. For any questions, please contact Grant Birely, IPFW Pitching Coach, by email at birelyg@ipfw.edu or contact Bandits 17U Head Coach Bruce Fenimore by clicking here.
UPDATE (from 17U Coach Fenimore):
"I just wanted to pass along a sincere thank you from the IPFW coaches for the use of our facility this weekend. They really enjoyed coming down and working with our Bandit kids and the others who attended. They would like to do it again next year as well. Good news for the Club!
If you were not able to attend and observe or listen to their coaching discussion on Saturday or Sunday, you really missed out. Hearing the discussion on Saturday and then watching and talking a little bit with the coaches on Sunday during the camp was very valuable. Personnally, I was able to reinforce some things that we're teaching and learned a couple of other ways to teach the same thing. I hope that I can pass that along to the kids.
For your information, here are the numbers from the weekend ...
Saturday: 8u-13u ... 6 campers
Sunday: 14u - 18u ... (13 to 15 non-Bandits I believe)
• AM Session (Pitchers and Catchers) ... 6 catchers and 22 pitchers
• PM Session (Hitting and infield/outfield) ... 34+ players
There were players from Michigan, the Region (Gary, Hobart, Hebron), South Bend, Bluffton, Evansville, Marion, Brown County (Ohio) - east of Cincinnati, and one player from Canada. A good mix of players and good parents as well. I was able to talk to most of them during the camp.
I apologize for the inconvenience this weekend with having to cancel some practices due to the camp, but it was a good opportunity to build a relationship with a college and to showcase our Club. Really a good day."
